Meaning :

Oh parrot of mine.. My heart is overwhelmed with emotion and
my body melts even when travelers utters the name of Lord Muruga, the divine husband of VaLLi.

Oh My dear friend.. I attempted to write a beautiful letter to Vadivelan who dwells on hills (Murugan),
but it ended up in a trivial scribbling. My mind too went berserk

He parted from me in the dark woods which was full of dense wild creepers all over the trees
He is the one who is called Velan.

I have had elaborate dalliance with Guhan.
It is not just trivial play but an eternal bondage.

I don’t care if I lose my house, cattle, family members, and all wealth of gold.
It is enough if I can hold his (Murugan’s) smile in my memory.

Hear, my friend.. The vermilion-colored Lord Murugan is the one who fills the entire world with his divine presence. He gives the impression that he is easily accessible but actually he is not.

--- Bhavayami gopala baalam lyrics meaning Meaning in English.

This mind bows down in obescience to Gopala in his form as a little child and always contemplates on his lotus feet.
Little Krishna is wearing a mekhala (ornament) on his hip which is studded with with jewels and mani's
he has a radiant charm and appears resplendent due to the tinkling of his ornaments)

he makes crooked and uneven steps and being the Lord himself ....
he is confused with his inability to make straight and proper steps
Even with his uneven steps , his unsteady gait resembles a graceful dance

butter overflows from his little hands as he walks.
Lord Brahma, all the gods and humans have assembled on this auspicious occassion to see the little lord
Annamayaa praises Bala Gopala as the unparalleled supreme perfect Lord who is an excellent actor and plays his role of a little child stealing the hearts of his devotees
